DORION, Ont. -- Ministry of Transportation officials have updated Dorion's Town Council on the twinning of Highway 11-17 in its area.
Reeve Ed Chambers says there's still plenty of work ahead.
“They are going to be doing quite a bit of work over the Ouimet Canyon overpass,” Chambers said during an interview with CKPR Radio.
“As you are driving the Trans Canada now we have that overpass going into Ouimet Canayon Road apparently it is starting to age so they are going to be doing a lot of preliminary work and testing over the summer.
The province is building a four-lane divided highway between Thunder Bay and Nipigon.
