FORT SEVERN FIRST NATION – A 33-year-old woman is facing drug charges after NAPS officers seized more than $5,000 worth of drugs at the airport.

According to a media release from Nishnawbe Aski Police Service, officers seized several drugs at the Fort Severn airport on Thursday following an investigation.

Officers seized methylphenidate, buprenorphine is commonly known as Suboxone, which has a northern street value of about $5,765.

The 33-year-old woman of Fort Severn First Nation has been charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

She has been released on conditions and will appear in court on November 6.
