THUNDER BAY — New recruits are joining the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service.

The 12 rookies are currently training in Thunder Bay and are preparing to be deployed to various NAPS communities.

A Facebook post showed photos of the new officers in training sessions, which included a visit from Superintendent Ryan Gibson, who shared some on-the-job insights.

The new officers will eventually be sent to their postings across NAPS's vast region, encompassing almost two-thirds of the Province of Ontario, from the Manitoba to Quebec borders.
