Provincial NDP Leader Andrea Horwath will personally congratulate her latest candidate in Thunder Bay-Atikokan on Sunday.
The party has scheduled its nomination meeting for the Lakehead Labour Centre. Horwath is expected to speak in the early afternoon.
Former Schreiber mayor Madge Richardson and Mary Kozorys, who represented the riding in the last provincial election, are the two candidates challenging for the right to run.
