The province's Education Quality and Accountability Office released its latest student testing results.
The study measures students in Grades 3 and 6 across Ontario in the areas of reading, writing and math. It also measures Grade 9 math results.
The results indicate that Grade 3 and 6 students with the Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board are faring well, finishing above the provincial average in all three categories.
But it's a different story for Lakehead Public School students, who posted a below average numbers in Grades 3 and 6 in every category.
But the Lakehead Board did much better in the Grade 9 math testing, finishing four to five percentage points above the Ontario average.
The Catholic Board's Grade 9 students scored slightly below average in applied math and were in line with the provincial average for academic math.
The full school-by-school results are available on the EQAO website.
