NIPIGON, Ont. — On online child sexual exploitation investigation has resulted in the arrest of a resident of Nipigon.
Ontario Provincial Police initiated an investigation in May 2020, and subsequently used a search warrant to seize a number of electronic devices from a local home.
After examination of the devices, charges were recently laid against a 29-year-old whose identity cannot be disclosed because of a court-ordered publication ban.
Charges include possession of child pornography and accessing child porn.
The accused person was released from custody after a bail hearing last week, and will return to court in August.
