THUNDER BAY -- After two days of bargaining, Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board and the union representing elementary teachers did not reach an agreement.
The two sides met again Wednesday and Thursday with the help of a provincially-appointed conciliator.
They were trying to achieve a local collective agreement for the years 2014 to 2017.
Union president Aldo Grillo said they're disappointed in the lack of progress over the last two days.
This deal is the second part of the teachers' contract and it's needed to bring the provincial agreement into effect for Thunder Bay Catholic Elementary teachers.
The union is in a legal strike position, and began a work-to-rule campaign in June.
Those work-to-rule sanctions will now increase when school resumes next week.
