No charges against construction company following worker’s death

A Thunder Bay construction company will not face charges after a worker was killed last year on the site of a condominium building.

Last April a 31-year-old man died after being run over by a dump truck at the Thunder Bay Country Club.

The Ministry of Labour concluded its investigation and determined that no charges will be laid against LTL Contracting.

The ministry offered no more details about the investigation or the decision.

The project at the corner of Golf Links and Oliver Roads will feature a six-storey condo building, as well as a new clubhouse.

Construction has been delayed several times since the accident happened.

The expected completion date is now November of 2013.
