THUNDER BAY – The Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association (NOMA) will be searching for a new executive director after learning that Kristen Oliver will be departing the organization on November 6, 2020.
“Our executive director, Kristen Oliver announced that she will be leaving NOMA effective November 6,” said Wendy Landry, NOMA President and Mayor of the Municipality of Shuniah.
Landry pointed out that for nearly eight years, Kristen has led the charge for NOMA and has been an integral resource in Northwestern Ontario. “Northwestern Ontario has many unique issues. Kristen’s vast knowledge of the challenges was critical in our work to advocate for the communities in the region. While we are excited for her as she moves forward in her career, she will be missed,” added Landry.
Kristen has accepted a position with Enbridge Inc. as Senior Advisor on Municipal Affairs and Stakeholder Relations. “This is really a bittersweet time as I say goodbye to an amazing group of leaders from across the Northwest. It does give me comfort to know that I will continue to work with a number of the NOMA communities, just in a different capacity,” said Kristen Oliver.
NOMA will begin recruitment for their new executive director immediately.
