THUNDER BAY -- The city is losing another one of its community centres for good.
City staff have shown the North Neebing Community Centre doesn't have enough interest to survive. Neebing Coun. Linda Rydholm said there also aren't enough volunteers.
The building, which has been vacant since Thunder Bay Fire Rescue no longer needed it as a temporary home, will likely be demolished.
Rydholm is hoping that since its one of the only green spaces in the area it would stay as a park, complete with the existing skating rink.
"Once there is some money available," she said.
