Northwestern Health Unit COVID cases climb again

Half the 14 new cases are in the Kenora health hub.

KENORA, Ont. — The Northwestern Health Unit reported 14 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, raising the number of active cases to 75.

That's nine more than the NWHU reported on Tuesday.

Seven of the new positive test results came from the Kenora health hub, where there are now 36 active cases.

Five new cases are in the Sioux Lookout hub, which has 14 active cases, and two are in the Fort Frances hub where there are currently 16 active cases.

Throughout the NWHU's service area, only one patient with COVID-19 is receiving treatment in hospital.
