A small portion of a popular recreational trail in Northwood will be closed and under construction for the next few weeks.
The trail along the Neebing River at the Edward Street underpass is being closed in both directions for two to three weeks. The closure is necessary to make upgrades and improve safety for users under the bridge.
Two gates on the existing trail will be locked and barricades will be erected while the work is ongoing.
Officials from the Parks Division are asking users to respect the closure as the trail will be ripped up and unsafe.
Pedestrians and cyclists can detour around the area by using the crossing at Edward and Parkway.
