If you have any old lottery tickets hanging around, you may just want to check them.
That's what Thunder Bay's Don Bernosky did recently with some tickets that were coming close to their one year expiry date. The result was a trip to Toronto to claim a $50,000 prize from a Payday lottery ticket draw last May.
Bernosky says he only checks his lottery tickets when he's feeling lucky.
He says he'll use the windfall for home renovations, some short trips and for his daughters school tuition.
