A group of OLG Casino employees spent the day volunteering to make Thunder Bay a little greener.
About 25 members of the casino's Bet on Green environmental program participated in the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup, an annual event that aims to encourage residents to remove garbage along streams and rivers.
Bet on Green team lead Alan Forbes says they clean up the McVicar Creek around Cumberland Street each year.
It's the third year OLG has participated.
Forbes said it's important to keep the shoreline clean because garbage in the waterways affects marine life and drinking water.
