THUNDER BAY – City police have laid charges against a 65-year-old Oliver Paipoonge man in a historical sexual assault case.
In a news release issued Thursday, police say the alleged incidents occurred between 2008 and 2014 to a single victim.
The investigation began in April 2017. No other information can be provided to protect the identity of the victim.
Oliver Paipoonge’s Albert Kozlowski was charged with sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching, sexual exploitation, sexual assault, forcible confinement and careless storage of a firearm.
Kozlowski is out of custody and is scheduled to appear in court on August 15.
None of the allegations have been proven in court.
