SIOUX LOOKOUT, Ont. -- One man is dead and two other people are missing following a boating tragedy near Sioux Lookout.
Officials with the OPP say a craft containing eight residents of the Lac Seul First Nation departed from Hudson, headed for Frenchman's Head on Lost Lake Thursday afternoon.
All eight occupants were thrown into the water when they encountered poor weather and capsized.
Six of them were able to make it to shore.
Kevin Brisket, 39, of Frenchman's Head, was taken to hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead.
A search involving the OPP dive team is now underway for the two missing boaters.
