THUNDER BAY — The COVID-19 virus has taken the life of another resident of the Thunder Bay district.
The health unit on Wednesday morning reported the death of the 61st individual to succumb to the pandemic.
On Wednesday morning it also reported six new COVID-19 cases.
With seven previous cases being resolved, this dropped the active caseload to 52, two fewer than on Tuesday.
Among the six new cases, three are the result of close contact with infected individuals, one has no known exposure source, and two cases are still being investigated.
All six cases are in the City of Thunder Bay or surrounding townships.
