One person charged with arson after apartment complex fire

THUNDER BAY — City police have laid arson charges after firefighters were called to an apartment complex on Tuesday. 

Emergency services responded to the McIvor Court apartment building Tuesday morning.

Police investigated the cause of the fire and have identified a 40-year-old suspect from Thunder Bay. 

Danielle Furness Guiguet has been charged with arson - disregard for human life, and for breaching probation. 

Guiguet was in court on Thursday and was remanded into custody with a future appearance date.
