OPP arrest break and enter suspects

Police lay numerous charges against a pair in connection with five break and enters.

FORT FRANCES, Ont. -- Ontario Provincial Police have arrested and charged two individuals in connection with five break and enters on Red Wing Road, in the Morson area.

OPP officials say the suspects entered the residences and stole numerous items including alcohol, a generator, a television and a number of firearms.

As a result of the ongoing investigation and the execution of a search warrant at a dwelling and surrounding property in Lake of the Woods, two arrests have been made.

Police charged a 46-year-old man from Lake of the Woods has been charged with eight counts of break and enter, possession of property obtained by crime, unauthorized possession of a firearm, two counts of careless storage of a firearm and two counts of failing to comply with recognizance.

Police also arrested a 39-year-old woman from Rainy River with possession of property obtained by crime, possession of break-in tools and nine counts of break and enter.

Both accused parties are being held in custody pending their next court appearance at the Fort Frances Ontario Court of Justice on Nov. 22.
