KENORA -- A man who escaped from the Kenora - Jail is back behind bars after escaping custody on Friday afternoon.
The man escaped while authorities were transporting him between the Kenora Courthouse and the jail. He fled through the city's waterfront and dashed between islands on the ice until he reached Treaty Island.
Kenora OPP tracked him with its canine unit and remanded him back to jail.
The incident took place over about an hour.
