SUDDEN DEATH ON STURGEON LAKE
(IGNACE, ON) – On July 11, 2015 at approximately 10:30 p.m. officers with the Ignace Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a possible drowning on Sturgeon Lake.
Marine officers from the Dryden and Ignace OPP Detachments attended Sturgeon Lake in the early morning on July 12, 2015 and located the deceased male.
The male has been identified as 63-year-old Forrest METZ of Savant Township. A post mortem examination will take place but the date and location have not yet been determined.
No foul play is suspected at this time. The investigation is continuing.
