KENORA, Ont. -- A 31-year-old Montreal man has been identified by provincial police as the person killed in a fatal crash on the Trans-Canada Highway.
Emergency crews responded to the two-vehicle collision on Highway 17 near Highway 673 in the Kenora area around 8:30 a.m. local time Monday morning
Jason Valliers-Cote has been identified as the driver of the one of the vehicles and he was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a news release from the OPP issued on Tuesday. The female passenger in the vehicle suffered injuries that are not life threatening. The two occupants in the second vehicle suffered minor injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
