OPP investigate a suspicious death

OPP have arrested a 26-year-old and a 27-year-old following an investigation into a suspicious death in Grassy Narrows First Nation.

GRASSY NARROWS, Ont. – Police have made an arrest following an investigation into a suspicious death in Grassy Narrows First Nation

According to an Ontario Provincial Police release, Treaty Three Police contacted the OPP on Nov. 10 to assist with a death investigation of a Grassy Narrows First Nation resident.

The deceased has been identified as 39-year-old Wesley Pahpasay, who died on Nov. 2 at the Lake of the Woods Hospital in Kenora.

Police say foul play may have been a factor to his death.

As a result of an ongoing investigation, OPP on Nov. 13 arrested and charged Griffen Keesick, 27, and Eldon Languedoc, 35, both of Grassy Narrows First Nation with aggravated assault.

Both accused have been remanded into custody.
