(KENORA, ON) Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police assisted by the Kenora Forensic Identification Unit are investigating a vehicle fire in the City of Kenora.
Just before 5:00 am on Friday August 5, 2016 the OPP were notified of a vehicle on fire in the Lake of the Woods Cemetery. The fire was quickly extinguished by Kenora Fire but the vehicle was completely destroyed. There was no one in the vehicle at the time of the fire and no injuries reported.
The police investigation revealed the 2007 Ford Focus had been stolen from a residence in the Rabbit Lake area sometime overnight.
The investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or CRIMESTOPPERS at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
