OPP investigate election sign thefts in Shuniah

THUNDER BAY -- Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a mischief complaint.

According to a media release, police responded to a report of election signs being stolen, vandalized and tampered with in Shuniah.

Police want to remind the public that tampering with election signs could result in mischief or theft charges under the criminal code.

Should you witness anyone vandalizing or removing legally erected election signs you are asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
