KENORA, Ont. -- Kenora OPP officers are investigating a fatal collision near Whitefish Bay First Nation.

Police, in a release, said they were called to the scene of the crash at about 7:40 a.m. on Friday and determined a minvan travelling north on Highway 71 had left the roadway and rolled over.

The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene while the driver was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.

The OPP's highway safety division and traffic collision investigators are investigating

Highway 71 is open to just one lane between Oak Point Road and Old Gold Mine Road and police say it will be shut down intermittently to allow investigators to complete their investigation.
