A post-mortem was done on Sunday in Kenora on a woman who died while in the custody of Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service.
NAPS acting chief Robert Herman asked the OPP to investigate the death of Lena Anderson, 23, who was in NAPS custody in Kasabonika on Feb. 1.
The post-mortem was done with the assistance of the Kenora OPP Forensic Identification Unit.
The investigation continues under the OPP’s Criminal Investigations Branch and anyone with information about the investigation is asked to contact their local police service.
