KENORA, Ont. -- Members of the Kenora OPP are reminding residents to be cautious of ice conditions.
Recent warmer weather means outdoor activities can be expected and encouraged. The thickness and safety of ice on lakes, rivers and ponds may be impacted by the mild temperatures that we have experienced very recently.
Ensure that you not only know where you’re going, but are aware of the ice conditions in your area.
No ice is ever considered safe by the OPP. Anyone who decides to venture onto ice covered bodies of water should do so with extreme caution.
