OPP has launched a 24-hour highway safety blitz targeting commercial vehicles.
The Operation Corridor aims to catch drivers who speed or change lanes aggressively. Sgt. Dave Woodford said inspectors are checking that loads are secure and log books are kept up to date.
Inspectors with the Ministry of Transportation and Ministry of the Environment are also looking for poor maintenance and mechanical problems.
Last year, more than 1,500 vehicles were stopped and 285 charges were laid during Operation Corridor.
