OPP lay six charges after intimate partner violence call in Marks Township

A Marks Township resident is being charged with six criminal offences after the OPP responded to a call late last week.

MARKS TOWNSHIP — Thunder Bay OPP has a list of charges against a Marks Township resident. 

After receiving a call for intimate partner violence, OPP responded to a home on June 8 around 2:15 a.m.

As a result of an investigation, the OPP have charged a 45-year-old resident with spousal assault, forcible confinement, uttering threats, theft, mischief and failing to comply with probation orders. 

According to provincial police, the accused is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay at a later date.

The OPP will not release the name of the accused to protect the identity of the victim.
