OPP seize pot during a traffic stop

A traffic stop leads to a drug seizure.

THUNDER BAY — Regional OPP made a traffic stop along the King's Highway over the weekend that resulted in charges.

On Saturday at around 11:30 a.m., Thunder Bay OPP performed a traffic stop on Highway 17 in Robson Township and located a large quantity of suspected cannabis during their investigation, which they seized.

A Thunder Bay man, 56, was charged under the Cannabis Act with possession of over 30 grams of dried cannabis in a public place and possession of illicit cannabis, according to an email from the OPP.
