OPP want help in sexual assault case

Police say they've charged Sioux Lookout's Andrew (A.J.) Schardt with two counts of sexual assault and want anyone with additional information to come forward.

SIOUX LOOKOUT, Ont. – OPP in Sioux Lookout have turned to the public for assistance while investigating a series of sexual assaults.

In a release issued on Friday, police say they’ve taken 29-year-old Andrew (A.J.) Schardt of Sioux Lookout into custody and charged him with a pair of counts of sexual assault.

OPP would like anyone with information regarding the investigation to come forward and contact them at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Schardt is in custody and awaiting a bail hearing.
