THUNDER BAY – A pair who have pleaded guilty to manslaughter will have to wait at least another two months before their sentence is determined.
Chauncy Grover and Alyssa Jourdain, charged in the August 2014 killing of 64-year-old Leslie Perrault, were scheduled to have a sentencing hearing at the Thunder Bay Courthouse on Friday but that has been pushed back to May due to incomplete pre-sentence reports.
The pair, who were in a common-law relationship, were arrested days after the Thunder Bay Police Service began an investigation in the early morning hours of Aug. 18, 2014 into the suspicious death of Perrault.
His body was found in a Machar Avenue home where Grover and Jourdain lived.
The cause of Perrault’s death has not been publicly revealed and facts of the case have not yet been read into court.
Grover and Jourdain entered their guilty pleas in December.
The hearing has now been re-scheduled for May 20.
