THUNDER BAY – Straight up, we’ll tell you, one of the ‘90s biggest stars is coming to the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium.

Paula Abdul, the former Laker girl who shot to stardom with hits like Opposites Attract, Straight Up and Cold Hearted, will be in Thunder Bay on Oct. 15, along with Tiffany and Taylor Dayne.

Tickets for the show go on sale on Friday.

Abdul, who is opening for New Kids on the Block this summer, will kick off her own tour on Sept. 25 in Victoria, ending in Sydney N.S. on Oct. 26.

She’s sold more than 60 million albums, has 17 MTV Video Music Award nominations and has won two Grammy Awards, three American Music Awards, two Emmy Awards and five Juno Awards.

Her first studio album, Forever Your Girl, sold seven million copies in the United States alone and had four chart-topping singles, setting a record for the most No. 1 Billboard singles from a debut album.

She was also a main judge on American Idol for its first eight seasons and returned as a guest judge for four more.

Taylor Dayne broke out in 1987 with her hit, Tell it to My Heart and had six U.S. top 10s, including Prove Your Love, Don’t Rush Me and With Every Beat of My Heart. Tiffany is best known for her 1987 cover of Tommy James and the Shondells’ song I Think We’re Alone Now, which spent two weeks atop the track.

Tickets will be available through Ticketmaster Canada. The presale begins on Wednesday at 10 a.m. The presale code is STRAIGHT UP.
