THUNDER BAY - A young man on a cross-Canada bicycle marathon passed through Thunder Bay Friday.
Martin Bauman is pedaling across the country to raise awareness and money for mental health initiatives.
The 23-year-old has gathered about $10,000 that will go towards the Waterloo Branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association.
Bauman has been biking for 32 days and was greeted by members of Thunder Bay Fire Rescue and Thunder Bay Police when he arrived.
Bauman has made the trip so far with his father, but will continue east from here alone.
