THUNDER BAY -- A woman who was struck by a vehicle on Algoma Street Monday afternoon has been charged for not crossing at a crosswalk.
Around 4 p.m. on Nov. 26, Thunder Bay police responded to the incident near the intersection of Algoma and Bay Streets.
A southbound vehicle struck the 21-year-old woman, who had jumped over the snow bank onto the street.
The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. She has since been released.
Police are urging motorists and pedestrians to be careful when travelling in winter weather with changing road conditions.
