THUNDER BAY — A pedestrian struck by a transport truck on Dawson Road Thursday afternoon has died as a result of injuries sustained.
The male pedestrian was struck by a commercial vehicle just before 2:30 p.m. Thursday on the merge lane onto Dawson Road from Highway 11/17.
The man was transported to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre by ambulance and the Thunder Bay Police Service said in a statement issued on Friday that he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The man’s name is being withheld at this time as police attempt to locate next of kin.
