Police arrest three men near airport

Police say they observed the suspects, who are facing a variety of charges, leaving a Syndicate Avenue apartment.

THUNDER BAY – City police say they have arrested three Toronto-area men outside the Thunder Bay International Airport.

In a release issued on Friday, police say members of the Thunder Bay Police Service’s intelligence unit observed a vehicle leaving a Syndicate Avenue apartment building with four individuals inside. All four, including the female driver, were arrested during a traffic stop at about 2 p.m. on Thursday on Princess Street.  

The driver was later released unconditionally.

Toronto’s Matthew Pickering, 21, faces a charge of proceeds over crime over $5,000. O’Neil Mills, 27, of Brampton, faces a charge of proceeds of crime over $5,000 and two counts of breach of recognizance. Toronto’s Andre Jackson, 22, was charged with breach of recognizance.

All three suspects were released with a Nov. 6 court date.
