THUNDER BAY — Thunder Bay Police confirm they are investigating a weapons incident that occurred Tuesday night in the Limbrick Street area.
Members of the major crimes unit are now involved, and a police presence remains in the vicinity.
In a brief news release Wednesday, TBPS said they were dispatched to the area shortly before 9 p.m. Tuesday after receiving reports of multiple gun shots being heard.
The emergency task unit also responded.
Police deployed a drone over the neighbourhood Tuesday night while they investigated the incident.
According to their statement Wednesday, "it is not believed there is a threat to public safety at this time."
No one was reported injured by any gun shots.
