Police believe robber strikes again

THUNDER BAY -- Police say a man wanted in a pair of earlier hotel robberies fits the description of an attempted Saturday morning Memorial Avenue heist. According to Thunder Bay police, a lone male entered Exquisite Gold and Gems at 10:17 a.m.

THUNDER BAY -- Police say a man wanted in a pair of earlier hotel robberies fits the description of an attempted Saturday morning Memorial Avenue heist.

According to Thunder Bay police, a lone male entered Exquisite Gold and Gems at 10:17 a.m. and began damaging display cases. The store owner struggled with the suspect and was pepper sprayed. The suspect then fled the scene.

Police searched the area, but did not locate the man, described as standing 5-foot-8 wearing a grey hoodie a ski goggles.

The owner of the store was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
