THUNDER BAY – Two men face drug trafficking charges after a search of two north side apartments on Thursday.

The Thunder Bay Police Service arrested a 20-year-old Calgary man and a 64-year-old Thunder Bay man and reported seizing crack cocaine, cash, and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking in the operation.

The force had obtained warrants to search the apartment units in the zero-to-100 block of Regent Street following an Intelligence Unit investigation, executing a search around 5:40 p.m. Thursday.

The two suspects were arrested and transported to police headquarters, and now each face a charge of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

Both appeared in bail court in Thunder Bay on Friday and were remanded into custody with future appearance dates, the TBPS reported in a release.
