Charges have now been laid in a murder case dating back to last spring.
Red Lake OPP and Pikangikum Police recently arrested three people in connection with the April death of 32-year-old Fitzgerald Owen of Pikangikum First Nation. A 29-year old woman, a 22-year-old woman and a 24-year old man from the community have been charged with second degree murder and aggravated assault.
The two women are scheduled to appear in court in Kenora on Dec. 10. The male suspect, who is also charged with assault with a weapon, is scheduled to appear in Kenora court on May 1.
