Police continue to investigate auto-pedestrian collision

A woman remains in hospital with serious injuries following an auto-pedestrian collision on the city's north side Thursday afternoon.

The Thunder Bay Police Service has released the scene and continues to investigate a motor vehicle collision involving a pickup truck and pedestrian.

Police were dispatched to a parking lot in the 800 block of Red River Road just before 1:55 p.m. on Thursday, March 4 following reports of a collision that had just occurred. Paramedics with Superior North EMS and firefighters with Thunder Bay Fire Rescue were also dispatched.

Police learned a female pedestrian was injured as a result of the collision. She was transported to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for further treatment.

The victim remains in the hospital with serious injuries.

The investigation remains ongoing.
