THUNDER BAY – The body of a man pulled from the Kaministiquia River earlier this week has been identified.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers on Wednesday received a report of a body being discovered in the Kam River.
Officers responded to the scene with CP police to investigate at the river east of Hardisty Street and south of Arthur Street just before 12:30 p.m.
At the time police said it appeared that the body had been in the water for “sometime.”
On Friday police confirmed identity of the man as Robert Moskotaywenene, 50, of Thunder Bay.
The results of the post mortem performed by the Coroner have confirmed that his death is not suspicious and no foul play is suspected.
Police say the investigation is complete.
