Police identify murder suspect

THUNDER BAY – Police have identified the 22-year-old arrested in connection with the Aug. 6 homicide of Brayden Moonias.

In a release issued on Wednesday, city police say Patrick Elmer O’Keese of Thunder Bay will face charges of second-degree murder, aggravated assault and two counts of failure to comply with a recognizance.

A second man was also assaulted and found a short distance from the area where Moonias' body was found near Marina Park. 

He’s been remanded into custody after a court appearance on Wednesday, where he will await a Sept. 22 court date.

None of the charges have been proven in court.
