The Nishnawbe Aski Police Service has launched an investigation into a section of the Aroland First Nation's band office.
NAPS Sergeant Jackie George said the case is financial in nature and its crime unit has spent the past two days gathering evidence from a section of the office.
So far, no arrests have been made at the reserve, which is located north of Nakina. George said charges are pending.
More details are expected by the end of the week.
