THUNDER BAY — Thunder Bay Police are looking for potential victims in a historical sexual assault case.

According to a release issued on Tuesday, police have arrested and charged a 64-year-old Thunder Bay man with multiple counts related to the incidents, which took place between 1995 and 2012 and involved minors under the age of 16 at the time of the alleged assaults.

Francesco Anselmo faces two counts each of sexual assault, sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching and four counts of sexual exploitation. The accused has been released from custody, with conditions, and a future court date.

The two known victims were known to the accused prior to the alleged incidents, police added.

Police ask anyone who might have been a victim of sexual assault, or have information that could assist investigators, to phone Det.-Const. Joel Manherz at 807-684-1200 ext. 4115.

None of the charges have been tested in court.
