Police investigate thefts in Neebing

THUNDER BAY – Ontario Provincial Police are looking for information regarding two separate theft incidents that occurred earlier in the week.

Thunder Bay OPP officers were called in to investigate a theft that occurred at a residence on Highway 595 in Neebing Tuesday night.

Police say sometime between 10:30 a.m. and 8 p.m., suspects entered a residence and stole a Samsung television, a Toshiba computer, jewellry and other household items.

Officers also responded to a report of a theft at a residence on Belanger Road on Wednesday around 11:30 a.m.

The complainant advised that the residence had been broken into sometime between Aug. 26 and Aug. 28.

At that time, two Poulan chainsaws, a generator and other yard items were stolen.

On Sept. 14, the complainant returned home to find the residence was broken into once again and three pellet rifles had been stolen.

Police say a vehicle for observation has been reported in the area being described as an older model, white, pickup truck.
