Police investigating convenience store robbery

THUNDER BAY -- Police are looking for the man who robbed a Mac’s convenience store just before midnight Thursday.

Thunder Bay Police Service officers say the lone male walked into the Mac’s convenience store at 620 Waterloo Street just before 11:30 p.m. Armed with a large knife, the man fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money.

City police officers attended the scene with the K-9 unit to search the area but were unable to locate a suspect.

The man remains at large and is described as a Caucasian man standing between five-feet-eight inches to five-feet-nine-inches tall. He has a thin build and wore a black leather jacket, black toque, neckwarmer   gloves and sunglasses at the time of the incident.
