Police investigating death of six-month-old from Eabametoong First Nation

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating the death of an infant from Eabametoong First Nation. In a release issued on Thursday, police say the six-month old was airlifted to a hospital in London, Ont.

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating the death of an infant from Eabametoong First Nation.

In a release issued on Thursday, police say the six-month old was airlifted to a hospital in London, Ont. on March 11, the day they were called in to investigate. 

The child died three days later at the London Health Sciences Centre. A post-mortem was conducted on Tuesday, but the determination of the cause of death requires further testing.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and further information will be provided as it becomes available.
